Are the apps really free?
Yes. Pixla Editor and Vaporware are completely free, and Pixla Sites is free to build and export with — an optional one-time Pro unlock adds advanced features. The business is Hosting and Mail, not the tools you build with.
So what am I actually paying for?
Keeping a site live. Pixla Hosting serves your published site (static sites are nearly free; dynamic Vapor apps have a small monthly floor), and Pixla Mail sends your campaigns. You only pay once you go live.
Will you ever suspend my site for going over a limit?
No — and this is a hard rule across the whole family. Every plan is metered, not capped: if you pass an included allotment we keep serving your site and bill the overage, with warnings well before you get there. A paying site is never taken down.
What’s a “Vapor runtime”?
A dynamic, server-side Swift app, as opposed to a static site. Pro includes one; each additional always-on runtime is $15/month, which matches what the underlying machine and database actually cost us.
How am I billed — App Store or direct?
The free apps install from the Mac App Store or direct. Paid subscriptions (Hosting and Mail) are billed through Stripe on pixla.app and the app just signs in — that keeps metered billing clean and avoids the App Store surcharge.
Refunds, trials, and tax?
A 14-day money-back guarantee covers your first paid subscription — email support@pixla.app. The apps are free to use indefinitely. Prices are shown before tax; any sales tax or VAT is added at checkout.
